Happy Monday!
Good Monday, y’all! I sure hope some of you are enjoying warmer weather. I can’t complain too much because at least there is plenty of sunshine. Yay! But I either need a snow day or I need it to be summer already. You know what I mean? Anyways, I thought I would share a little bit of the things that made me smile this past week. So with here you go. 1. My son came home from church...

New Year, New Goals
By now I’m sure every blogger has shared their goals for the new year, but this momma has been busy and just yesterday had the time to write down all the thoughts in my head that make up my goals for the year. On a side note, does any one else have an affinity towards even numbers? Cause this girl does. Anyways, I’m gonna put these out there on the internets :) Not so much for...

Happy November!!
Of course I gotta start the month off with a post, especially if I’m getting on the blog band wagon again. ;) For me October flew by, with both sets of grandparents coming to visit. It was a month full of fun memories and a little boy’s 5th birthday!! But here we are November! I awoke to all my feeds full of friends little ones in their costumes, and it seriously brought such joy and...

Update.
Some of you may have noticed I have been M.I.A. from blogging this year. I can say I have thought about it almost every day, but I couldnt put words to a blog. The truth is, a miscarriage earlier this summer coupled with feeling like I was losing my unique voice in a massive blogging world drove me to what I might call blogging depression. lol. This might sound strange to some of you, but this is...

Hair Inspiration
For almost a year, I have loved having the now ever popular indie loving blunt bangs. Now, all I want my bangs to do is grow, grow, grow. My goal is to be able to rock a middle part by this summer. Here is a peek at my inspiration via {This Is Glamorous}. (Photos by Simon Emmett)

New Music.
Our dear friends Phillip and Lia LaRue have released ‘Us and Our Daughters’, their first EP together on iTunes. If you are looking for some good chill music or just some new music you must check this out! I have had the privilege of hearing the two of them sing together one New Years Eve in their living room, and was just as blown away then as I am now of their harmonies. Enjoy! PS...

My Momma.
Today is my mom’s birthday. This isn’t just any birthday, this is her 50th birthday. She is a beautiful woman who seriously doesn’t look her age. She loves the Lord with all her heart and is even spending part of her birthday teaching a womens bible study. She has a laugh like no other and it is quite infectious. She is the one that gave me the appreaciation for fashion and home...

Etsy Love.
Not sure if any of you moms and dads out there can relate but both my kids, particularly my son, love to put things in bags and walk around the house like they are the bizzness. This bag is brilliant, plus you can write your own personal message on it. I however was completely won over by the example. Can you tell why? You can find this along with other cute tote bags at Pure and Noble’s...

A Good Day.
Lately, getting a good report from preschool is a rare thing in my sons life these past few weeks. We are working diligently on his behavior and it’s starting to pay off. I was so blessed to see this smiley face from his teacher. Way to go Jude! Mommy is so proud of you!!

Alaska: Gold Rush Party
A little late in posting this, i know. I had to share these pics though because we had such a great time. Not sure if you can relate, but we were addicted to Alaska Gold Rush on the Discovery Channel. Over the shows season we had developed an impromptu viewing night with some of our friends, so when it came time for the finale it was only appropriate to throw a finale party. The initial...

My Little Lovey!
Ben and i are convinced she is an ewok. If only you could hear her talk. She loves to hug and kiss just about anything that could be possibly loved, and is as comfortable using an iPhone as she is with her pacifier. She has the uncanny ability to find the only marker in a room and knows how to use it. With amazing bed head and a love for fashion, she is our princess. She loves to have her hair...

Fashion Inspiration: Valentino
In case you didn’t know, its fashion week in Paris. The words “fashion” and “Paris” alone in a sentence would get me all giddy, but put together in the same sentence, makes me want to burst into a million pretty pastel colors of happiness. A little over the top for you? I promise, if you knew me well enough then you know i’m not exaggerating. With so many...

Good Reads: The Hunger Games
In the mood for a good fiction series? It isn’t a secret that I love books, while my preference is classical literature; Austen and Dickens being my most favorite writers, I won’t pretend to be pretentious about what fiction I read. Yes, The Hunger Games is an easy read, however it WILL suck you in from the beginning and carry you until the end in suspense. I loved the whole series and...

My New Obsession: Chevron
If you follow me on Twitter then you already know that the chevron print is my new favorite print. Don’t get me wrong, I love stripes too, but i personally feel like it is beginning to be over played. Here is a few examples of chevron for both home and fashion that I am in LOVE with. Enjoy! Guest Post: Office Decor Inspiration
Recently, my friends Stoney Noell and Ian Collins hatched a plan to open up an office suite for the more creative minded. As soon as I saw the pictures of Franklin Creative Suite I had to share, and asked my dear friend Stoney to guest post on the inspiration behind the decor of the office. I have known Stoney for close to ten years now and his eye for design has always been such an inspiration...

Snow Day
By now I am sure you know that DC was hit with quite the ‘thundersnow storm’ and it dropped at least 8 inches by our house. We had a blast watching the snow come down while eating snacks. Amusement was found watching neighbors try to drive and then get stuck IN the driveway. This morning we woke up to the sunshine and the beautiful snow. Here are some pics from our day. I love...

If My home Could Have A Wishlist This Would Be It.
Moving into a new home always brings new inspiration for me. It’s like having a blank canvas and I am painting it with the furnishings and decor. Here is a little list of things I have been looking at on etsy and in antigue stores. Wire crates like this one are on my radar. A dress form for our bedroom. The letter K. Lots and Lots of shed antlers. Vintage suitecases with...

Some Of Our Favorite Toys.
Fresh off Christmas and its many blessings that they received, I thought we would share with you some of our favorite toys that have been occupying my kids these days. This Melissa and Doug Cutting Fruit was a favorite of my kids and their cousins at Grandma and Grandpa’s house this past Christmas. For some random reason they loved and fought over the orange, but the fact that they could...

The Coolest Doll House Ever!
Not to sound like an old lady that collects creepy dolls, but I have to admit I have been enchanted lately with wooden doll houses.  Miniature mid century furniture is just rad.  Check this modern house from Brinca Dada out.  This house is fit for the Cullen gang.  I. Am. In. Love.
